Conference Description
Looking for an opportunity to explore solutions to today’s critical issues with pastors, non-profit practitioners and other leaders in the fight for economically healthy and socially just urban areas? The Toward a Free and Virtuous City (City FAVS) conference examines the moral foundations of personal and economic liberty from a standpoint of Christian Anthropology. The conference applies traditional truths to complex problems facing the modern city, such as the regulatory policy and the role of independent charities and non-profits in combating poverty.

Reasons to Attend
Equip: We believe that ideas have consequences. Ideas literally change the world.
Acton events have a proven record of generating thinking about these ideas that is characterized by depth of insight and breadth of reach.
Through conference discussion in economics, leadership, and the dignity of the human person, your personal "idea bank" will be expanded.
Re-evaluate: Community development must not only make an impact, it also must be enduring. As you reflect during these days, many ideas will emerge. Some will be in alignment and others in tension with what you see happening in your ministry and community. We expect that your re-evaluation will lead positively to learning and growth in the effectiveness and transformative capacity of your work.
