Biography:
William Luckey is professor and chairman of the Department of Political
Science and Economics at Christendom College, where he has taught since
1984. He taught at St. Johns University, St. Francis College (NY),
and Cardinal Newman College (MO) prior to his position at Christendom.
Dr. Luckey received his B.A. from St. Johns University and then
served in the United States Marine Corps. He then earned an M.A. and Ph.D.
in Political Philosophy from Fordham University. Dr. Luckey returned to
school in 1990 for an M.B.A. from Shenandoah University and an M.A. in
Economics from George Mason University, where he was a student of Nobel
Prize winner James Buchanan.
He has published in Faith & Reason, the Journal of Markets &
Morality, and published "John Courtney Murray: A Catholic Appreciation"
in John Courtney Murray and the American Civil Conversation. He has also
served as a fellow for the Earhart Foundation and the Robert Boone Stewart
Foundation and is on the advisory board of the Center for Economic Personalism.
