Centesimus Annus Anniversary Series
To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the late John Paul II’s social
encyclical Centesimus Annus, the Acton Institute is sponsoring a series of 9
lectures between 2005 and 2007
Annual
Dinner
Each year the Acton Institute hosts an annual dinner celebration in Grand Rapids,
Michigan, to promote its outreach and to thank supporters for their partnership
with the Institute. The dinner and program festivities include an address by
a prominent keynote speaker. The Institute has been honored with a number of
notable and brilliant annual dinner speakers, including Supreme Court Justice
Antonin Scalia, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Nobel Laureate in Economics
Gary Becker, George Gilder, and Chuck Colson
Acton Lecture Series
The Acton Lecture Series began in 1991 as a service to the local community.
Through the series, the Institute seeks to bring knowledgeable and thought-provoking
speakers to the area, providing our local audience the opportunity to interact
with prominent thinkers on issues of faith and freedom.
