The Lord Acton Lecture Series

The Lord Acton Lecture Series began in 1991 as a service to the local community. Through the series, the Institute seeks to bring knowledgeable and thought-provoking speakers to the area, providing our local audience the opportunity to interact with prominent thinkers on issues of faith and freedom.

Speakers for the Lord Acton Lecture Series have included The Honorable Edwin Meese; John Stossel of the ABC News program 20/20; John Fund, editorial page editor for the Wall Street Journal; Sister Connie Driscoll, founder of the Saint Martin de Porres House of Hope in Chicago; Dr. Russell Kirk, the "father of American conservatism"; Edwin Feulner, president of the Heritage Foundation; and author and Hollywood critic, Michael Medved.
